Exciting Opportunity in SC - – Coastal Carolina Student Health Clinic

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) will provide comprehensive healthcare services to the students of Coastal Carolina University, offering both men’s and women’s health services. This role requires experience in a fast-paced clinical environment such as emergency departments, ICUs, or urgent care settings. The APP will assess, diagnose, and manage both acute and chronic conditions, with a focus on student health and well-being.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

• Outpatient clinical role – no inpatient
• Standard office hours (Mon-Thurs: 8am-5pm / Fri: 8am-12pm)
• Protected administrative time (5 days clinic time with .5-day admin time per week)
• 36 patient contact hours / 4 admin hours
• Call Schedule: No call responsibilities for this role.
• Cerner EMR

PATIENT VOLUME & CENSUS:

• Average Patient Volume: 18-22 patients per day
• Demographics: Primarily young adult patients (university students) with a mix of acute illnesses, injuries, and routine health maintenance.

VISIT TYPES:

• Visit Types: Acute care visits (illnesses, injuries), women’s and men’s health visits, routine physical exams, wellness visits, and follow-up appointments for chronic conditions.
• Typical Procedures: In-office procedures include simple suturing, incision and drainage, splinting, gynecological exams, basic dermatologic procedures, and vaccinations.
