This position involves evaluation and treatment of patients as a part of the outpatient and inpatient unit of the Psychiatry faculty practice at the University of Miami affiliated clinics and supervision of c psychiatry fellows, general residents, and trainees in the provision of clinical services.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include the evaluation and treatment of Cancer patients who are referred to the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences clinics, as well as teaching and supervising residents, fellows, and medical students. As with all other faculty, this individual will be expected to rotate monthly in the faculty call schedule. Additional clinical duties may be assigned by the Division Chief or Department Chair/Vice Chair.
The position also includes opportunities for participation in research and other academic activities of a rapidly growing Department of Psychiatry with a national reputation for research, teaching and clinical service.
Job Requirements:
The individual must demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills. This position requires M.D. or M.D. /PhD, board eligibility in psychiatry and a Florida medical license.
