Corewell Health Children’s Hospital, Royal Oak, MI, seeks to add a Board Certified/Board eligible Pediatric Nephrologist to a growing Pediatric Nephrology practice for a primary clinician-educator position.
Corewell Health Children’s is located in Royal Oak, Michigan (a northern suburb of Detroit), and serves children and families throughout southeast Michigan and beyond. Our main pediatric inpatient unit is housed in our flagship 1082 bed academic, nationally ranked medical center that features 70 pediatric medical-surgical beds, an 8 bed Pediatric ICU, a 10 bed short stay unit, and a 50 bed level 4 Neonatal ICU. In addition, two satellite hospitals house an additional 30 lower acuity pediatric beds and 48 NICU level 3a beds. BC/BE pediatric emergency physicians are on-site 24 hours a day at our main campus pediatric emergency center.
Corewell Health Children’s has a long-standing, highly reputable residency program with 24 pediatric and 16 medicine-pediatric residents with which faculty are enthusiastically and fully engaged. Our faculty also enthusiastically engage with medical students from the Oakland University-William Beaumont School of Medicine.
Corewell Health Children’s serves as the main referral center for pediatric patients throughout the entire Corewell Health East system which includes 8 hospitals, 3500 inpatient beds, and over 150 outpatient sites. Combined, Corewell Health East cares for 17,000 newborn infants yearly and has 450,000 total emergency center visits– of which 90,000 are patients under age 18 years.

The Department of Pediatrics includes 75 employed specialty faculty representing nearly all disciplines and is complimented by a large cadre of pediatric surgeons and surgical specialists, including 3 board certified full time pediatric urologists. Well over 400 affiliated community pediatricians regularly refer patients to Beaumont Children’s.
