Service Chief of Hospitalists

The Bay Pines C.W.Y. VA Medical Center has an immediate opening for a full time IM board certified Chief hospitalist. The Bay Pines VA is located on the beautiful west coast of Florida, eight miles northwest of the international resort community of St. Petersburg and features a beautiful setting, with views of the Intracoastal Waterway from many hospital rooms. Candidates must be highly motivated, team-oriented, and committed to the care and good health of our veterans. The Bay Pines VA Medical Center is fully dedicated to providing top-quality medical care by serving and honoring America’s Veterans.

Highlights of this opportunity:

• Competitive starting salary $290,000-$320,000
• Work schedule: 80hrs per biweekly pay period ( mostly 8-hour shifts)
• Serves as Chief of Hospital Medicine for the Bay Pines VA Medical center providing leadership and supervision to assigned clinical staff
• Provides direct patient care in inpatient setting
• Research and teaching opportunities are available

Requirements:

• Must be a U.S. citizen. Non-Citizen candidates will be considered if a U.S. Citizen is not found
• Full unrestricted license from any U.S. State
• Board certification in Internal medicine or family medicine required
• Supervisory and/or VA experience
