Join our team at Brenner Children's Hospital's Level 4 Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP). In this rewarding role, you will function in an expanded capacity, utilizing approved protocols to deliver age and developmentally appropriate care to neonates, infants, and their families. You'll play a crucial role in coordinating care through effective communication and collaboration with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team. Additionally, you'll serve as a valuable resource for staff nurses and precept NNP students, fostering professional growth and knowledge sharing.

Education / Experience:

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited school of nursing.
  • Nurse Practitioner (NP) certification from an accredited nurse practitioner program.
  • Master's degree required.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required.
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required.
  • Two years of experience as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner preferred.
  • Neonatal nursing experience is required.

Licensure, Certification, and Registration:

  • Current licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of North Carolina.
  • Approval for advanced practice as a nurse practitioner by the North Carolina Board of Nursing and North Carolina Board of Medical Examiners.
  • Specialty certification as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) is required.
