The University of Miami Health System, Miller School of Medicine is initiating a search for a Cardiovascular Staff Physician.
Essential Job Functions:
Meet with patients to learn about their medical histories and symptoms?
Conduct diagnostic tests to determine the cause and nature of disease?
Examine and interpret test results, and explain them to patients?
Discuss with patients possible treatment methods?
Prescribe medication, conduct noninvasive procedures, and perform surgery?
Coordinate medical staff for tests and procedure?
Recommend postoperative care, and educate patients about how to lead healthier lives?
Obtain continuing education by attending conferences and reading medical publications?
Position will dedicate 80% of the time in Cardiovascular Medicine (5 sessions of outpatient clinic, 2 sessions of ECHO reading and 6-7 weeks of CCU and cardio consults, and 20% in Executive Medicine, conducting cardiology consultations
Main practice locations will be Uhealth Kendall, and Lennar Foundation. ECHO reading and Executive Medicine will be at Uhealth Medical Campus
