Trauma Surgeon within the Department of General Surgery - UofL Health, Louisville, KY

ABOUT THE POSITION

The University of Louisville's Department of Surgery is seeking a trauma surgeon to join our Division of General Surgery at the Assistant Professor level. The successful candidate must have completed general surgery training at an ACGME accredited program and be board certified/eligible by the American Board in Surgery as well as have completed a fellowship in trauma surgery/critical care. 

The ideal candidate should have experience in training residents and students in general and trauma surgery. Applicants are expected to have a genuine interest and commitment to trauma surgery and general surgery training. 

QUALIFICATIONS

Qualified candidates should have a proven track record of successful completion of a trauma surgery/critical care fellowship program. The University of Louisville is affiliated with various hospitals in the community and offers the opportunity to develop a practice with a specialty emphasis as needed for research purposes. Specialty fellowship training is required for this academic position. The candidate will have expert skills and an interest in teaching and academic productivity in clinical areas.
